I’m excited to have been chosen as one of the recipients of a grant to support the work of the Ouse Washes Landscape Partnership. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, these grants are being given to a number of people/organisations who are increasing knowledge and use of the area.
I went to their main event last summer and have been following the blog and finding myself drawn further into investigating the heritage of the area as well as enjoying what it has to offer today.
To learn more about who lived here before and how they lived, what they made and used to be able to survive here, is a really interesting adventure for me, so I will be researching for a few weeks, keeping a blog, photographs, etc. Documenting what I find, then holding some workshops to let everyone have a go at some of the skills I find.
The blog is within this website, found at redbarncreative.org/fens so please feel free to follow progress there.
